Artist Bio
Millions
throughout North America have viewed the artwork of Scott Kennedy. In addition
to having over one hundred published editions, his work has also been featured
in many books, magazines, and gift products. With artwork published over 30 years
his style has developed with a broad range of diversity and works in a variety
of medium including pencil, acrylic, oils, watercolor and sculpture.
Scott
received his degree in art from Colorado State University in 1981. His
art was published by the distinguished Greenwich Workshop for thirteen years
before deciding to begin Solstice Arts, his own publishing studio, in 1999
where he could oversee every aspect of his work.
His
subjects explore the emotion and beauty of both the figure and nature. As
husband, father of four and a devoted Christian, the aspects of relationships
with others and nature are often a theme. Never fully content with his work, he
is always striving to develop his ability and creative expression to its
greatest potential.
"Love Birds"
It would be fair to say that at least half of the personalized prints on this site are the creations of Scott Kennedy. But the first print that started it all, and that remains one of the top selling prints in the country 13 years later is "Love Birds". It is published from the original watercolor painting and includes a heart carved on the aspen tree where two names can be personalized for you.
